Friends of Farming Exclusive Farm Tour - Mountain Meadow Mushrooms Farm

Join us for another Friends of Farming Exclusive Farm Tour! We will be touring Mountain Meadow Mushroom Farm in Escondido.

MMM produces a variety of mushrooms but its bread a butter is the ubiquitous white button mushroom. Mountain Meadow sells virtually all of its mushrooms locally being one of a just a few local mushroom producers. A general rule is if you've eaten a mushroom in a San Diego County restaurant it was grown at Mountain Meadow.

You'll be astounded at the amount of mushrooms grown on just a few acres in north Escondido, and the very unique relationships the farm has built with the Del Mar Racetrack and others to recycle waste into high quality compost bedding that the mushrooms are grown in.

This is a very unique tour you won't want to miss. Mountain Meadow Mushroom Farm has been featured on Farm Tour Day tours in the past and routinely sells out the tour. Due to tour requirements spots are limited to 25 people per tour.
