Join us for a tour of a local, family-run avocado orchard! On this tour, we will explore 40-acre orchard located on a hilly slope in Highland Valley with views of Safari Park. Farmer Matthew Prickett will explain how avocados are grown, irrigated, and propagated. We’ll discuss their flowers, pollination, and harvest season. This is great tour for any San Diego area resident with a few avocado trees in their yard – learn a few tips and tricks to create a better harvest in your trees!
